Time for the weekly (daily, monthly, hourly—we aren't particularly regimented) swole report.
According to a study out of Penn State, putting time into weight lifting leads to a longer life for older adults. Science Daily reports that of the total surveyed population, folks who strength-trained at least twice a week after age 65 were 46 percent less likely to die before the study concluded. Stronger muscles and healthier bones appeared to keep their bodies running longer.
