The Best Tea for Overeating..

Naturopath Dr. Pina LoGiudice demonstrates how to make belly scrub tea, a custom tea blend made with fennel seeds, bay leaf, and lemon peel. Find out how these three ingredients help with bloat, cramping, and abdominal discomfort.

We are back with the tea slush decoder. And now, Pina's going to give us the best teas to recover from overeating. In fact, [?Nadera?] posted that question you just heard on Facebook about overindulging with her friends this weekend. Rhenotha called her a hot mess. I'm quoting Rhenotha. What kind of foods are your friends eating with you? When it's your birthday, the calorie couting is off. So there was pizza. There was cake, cake pops, margaritas--all the things that make you feel like you're having fun with your girlfriends. But after the weekend, I'm feeling a little gross. I'm feeling a little bloated. I'm feeling a little hot messy. A little sludgy? A little sludgy. And so loose shirts. Loose shirts-- I love it.

Well, Pina has a loose shirt on for different reasons. She actually brought us a home remedy, which I really thank you for. We're going to decode your problem. The personalized blend is with fennel seeds, so come on over. You guys call it the belly scrub in your family, I'm told. Yes. I love this. I actually have it here with me this morning, in my own little canister. So what you want to do, the ingrdients are fennel seeds, bay leaf, and lemon peel. And basically, they work for different reasons. So fennel seeds themselves actually help promote digestion. It will get rid of the bloat. It'll get rid of that extra abdominal gas, and that cramping, and that discomfort. The oils and fennel will eliminate that. So take a little bit of fennel seeds. And then basically, that's I usually put it in a pot of water, and I bring it to a boil, and then some lemon peel. And then you want it to just infuse. And you'll see the color of the water change to exactly this light yellow.

If you do this five minutes, 10 minutes? Not even 10 minutes. It's maybe three minutes. And is it good to have in the morning? You can have this all day, everyday. So if you are always subject to bloat--Just because you're not eating right or you're under stress, this is my favorite thing. Well, how often you go out with your friends? Right. I'm a weekend warrior sometimes. I'm worried about you, dear. Do you like the taste? What do you think of it? I love the taste. And I love that this is stuff that I would commonly have in my pantry. Absolutely. Very easy to put together. 100%. And that's what everyone has at home. And if you feel like it's still a little bitter, you can add a touch of honey to it. It's outstanding. More? That's right. Right, so drink up. As, prophylactically, [?Nadera's?] drinking it now. It actually feels like someone literally is rubbing my stomach, a massage from the inside.
